Reference

Credits and licences

Outcome: you know what Mailnib is built from, under which licences, and where every licence text is.

Mailnib itself is licensed to you by the marketplace licence you bought, not by anything on this page; see the LICENSE file in your download. The notices below cover the third-party software, fonts and artwork it includes.

Fonts

The application bundles its fonts from Fontsource and serves them itself; builds and visitors do not need access to Google Fonts. The application font licences are in apps/web/public/assets/fonts/. These documentation pages carry their own copies in documentation/assets/fonts/, with the licence text beside them (ibm-plex-sans-OFL.txt, ibm-plex-mono-OFL.txt). The OFL allows the fonts to be bundled, embedded and redistributed with software, but not sold on their own.

Icons

Every icon in the application and in these pages is from Lucide, under the ISC licence, a permissive licence that allows commercial use and redistribution. Social-network marks in the Social block are original drawings, not the networks' logos.

Template artwork

Every asset that ships with the templates has a row in CREDITS.md (also at templates/CREDITS.md in source/) giving its origin and licence. In summary:

  • The 79 templates (their layout, copy and the fictional brands in them) are original work.
  • Illustrations and avatars used by the templates are hand-authored geometry, generated from code in this repository and rasterised; the source SVG sits beside each PNG.
  • Template thumbnails are rendered from the templates themselves.
  • Social icons, rating stars and the image placeholder are original drawings.
  • No stock photography and no photographs of any kind are included. Image blocks in templates show drawn placeholders until your customers add their own pictures.

The screenshots in these pages are captures of Mailnib's own interface.

Tools used to build these pages

The documentation is written in Markdown and turned into HTML with marked (MIT). It is a build tool only and is not part of the running application.

Licences that ask for something

Nearly every package below is under a permissive licence (MIT, ISC, BSD, Apache 2.0) that only asks you to keep its notice, which each package's own folder does, and which THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt in your download reproduces in full for every package bundled in runtime/. A few deserve a note:

  • @img/sharp-libvips (LGPL-3.0-or-later) is the native image library behind Sharp, which re-encodes uploads. It is shipped unmodified as a separate library, which the LGPL allows; you may replace it with your own build of libvips.
  • caniuse-lite (CC-BY-4.0) is browser-support data used at build time; the attribution is its own notice.
  • Apache-2.0 packages include a NOTICE file where their authors provide one; keep those files when you redistribute.

Every third-party package

This is every production dependency of the workspace, direct or indirect, as recorded when this version was built. It includes packages that only the build uses, so it is longer than the set bundled in runtime/. The full licence text of each is in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt at the top of your download, and in the package's own folder under runtime/node_modules/.
