Welcome to Mailnib

Mailnib is a self-hosted email design platform you can sell to your own customers. You install it once; your customers sign up, design emails in a drag-and-drop editor, and export them to whatever service they send from.

The design library of a customer workspace, with ten saved emails in folders
A customer's design library

What you get

  • An email editor with twenty-five blocks, ten ready-made layouts, 79 original templates and a blank start, brand kits, merge tags and live email checks. It works with a mouse, with the keyboard alone, and on a phone.
  • Multi-tenant accounts. Each customer gets their own workspace with a team, roles, and plan limits. One workspace can never see another's designs.
  • An operator console for you: tenants, plans, subscriptions, invoices, branding and email settings.
  • Six export formats: inlined HTML, HTML with a style block, a ZIP with images, JSON, EML and plain text.
  • White-labelling. Your name, logo and accent colour replace ours everywhere your customers look.

What it deliberately is not

Mailnib builds emails. It does not send campaigns. There are no contact lists, no subscriber imports, no scheduled campaigns, no open or click tracking, and no deliverability tooling. Your customers export their design and paste it into the sending service they already use.

The only mail the platform sends itself is:

  • account mail (email confirmation, password resets), and
  • test sends of a design, to addresses whose owners have confirmed them.

This is a product decision, not a missing feature. Leaving sending out is what lets the product run as one Node.js process with one database, on ordinary hosting, with no queue and no background worker.

Requirements

You needMinimumNotes
Node.js20 or newerNode 22 is recommended.
PostgreSQL14 or newerVersion 16 is recommended.
Disk2 GBPlus room for your customers' uploaded images, unless you use S3 storage.
Memory1 GB2 GB is comfortable.

That is all. There is no Redis, no queue, no worker process and no headless browser.

A host with no Node.js support at all (a PHP-only plan) cannot run Mailnib.

Your licence

Mailnib is licensed through the marketplace you bought it from, and that marketplace's licence is what allows you to use it. The LICENSE file in your download names the licence that applies, links to its full terms, and explains what it means for a platform whose tenants pay. Read it before you launch.

How these pages work

These pages are plain HTML in the documentation/ folder of your download. They open straight from your disk, with no server and no internet connection. Use the search box at the top of the sidebar, or press / to jump to it. The button in the top-right corner switches between light and dark.
